The mum-of-two has 440,000 followers on her @ashslifestories Instagram and 1.3m on TikTok.
Ashleigh had started dating a new girlfriend called ‘Gee’ recently – unaware that the woman is in fact Gayle Newland.
Newland made national headlines when she was convicted of a string of sexual assaults in 2017.
Th ex-public schoolgirl used a £20 prosthetic penis and a blindfold to pretend to be a man named Kye Fortune, tricking a student into thinking she was having sex with a man.
This disgraceful act is said to have occurred up to ten times with the young woman over two years.
Her sick guise was described as an “astonishing deception” to trick a pal into sex, following a retrial at Manchester Crown Court.
Huish has claimed she had no knowledge of Newland’s past. According to internet gossip site Tattle, Huish introduced Newland to fans as “Gee”.
“Devastated” Huish has now dumped Newland after learning of her criminal past.
But clothing brand In The Style, one of Huish’s sponsors, has now dropped her according to MailOnline.
This is believed to have been as a result of the controversy.
Huish allegedly met Newland late last year and briefly became romantically involved with her – until followers alerted her to Newland’s criminal past.
Huish said in a statement to fans: “I hope anyone who knows or supports me would be aware that I’m a very open book about my life.
“Sometimes people come into our life who don’t want their personal lives on social media, and I respect that so when I did eventually start dating again, I didn’t share any details at their request.
“However, I’d like to note, I am single and have been for some time.
“In more recent days, I’ve been alerted to a website sharing information about this person’s past. Information that I had no knowledge of to any degree.
“I went into the dating world again with an open heart and I never expected for this to occur and I’m honestly devastated.
“I will not be linking to the site, as they’re creating an extremely damaging narrative which is completely false in regard to myself, and in my opinion without any regards for the victim.
“This doesn’t just affect me, but my family too, so I will be taking some time offline to reflect – Ash.”
Manchester Crown Court previously heard how Newland carried out her “astonishing deception” for her own “bizarre sexual satisfaction”.
The retrial jury found her guilty sexual assaulting a pal by using a strap-on sex toy without her consent in 2013.
She ended up being sentenced to six years for the sexual assaults and six months for fraud, with the sentences running consecutively.
The former marketing manager had seduced her pal online using her male alter-ego, who she said was half-Filipino, half-Latino.
Newland told her victim “Kye” was insecure about his appearance after receiving treatment for a brain tumour.
The complainant told the court she agreed to wear the mask and a scarf because she was so in love.
Her victim finally discovered the truth when she pulled off her face mask during sex.
