POLICE have dropped a probe into Tory MP Andrew Rosindell and cleared him of any criminal wrongdoing.
Mr Rosindell, 57, was arrested in May 2022 over sexual offence allegations.

The MP for Romford always denied the claims against him and insisted he is innocent.
In a statement this morning his office said: “In relation to an allegation made in May 2022 by an individual against Andrew Rosindell the Metropolitan Police have conducted a thorough investigation and concluded that there was no case to answer and that no further action would be taken.
“Andrew has been completely exonerated.
“He has been working constantly for Romford throughout the past twenty-one months and will continue to speak up for the people of his beloved home town as their local MP.”

The offences the MP was under investigation for included abuse of a position of trust and indecent assault.
They covered the period from 2002 to 2009, at which times he held the positions as a whip and shadow minister.
Mr Rosindell agreed to stay away from the parliamentary estate while he was under investigation.
While not obliged to, he kept his distance under an agreement with Tory whips.
He has represented Romford, a Tory safe seat, since 2001.
He won a majority of 17,893 at the 2019 general election.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: “In January 2020, the Met received a report relating to alleged sexual offences having being committed in London between 2002 and 2009.
“A man, aged in his 50s, was arrested in May 2022 on suspicion of indecent assault, sexual assault, rape, abuse of position of trust and misconduct in public office.
“A thorough investigation has been carried out by detectives. They concluded that the evidence did not meet the threshold set by Crown Prosecutors.
“The man has been informed he will face no further action.”
