JADON SANCHO is “full of joy” but he needs to improve, warned Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic.

The winger returned to Dortmund on loan last month with the aim of resurrecting his career.

But Sancho is still getting back up to speed after spending months on the sidelines following his banishment from the United first-team.

Sancho and Ten Hag had a public spat sparked by the Dutchman’s comments about Sancho’s training standards.

The England star re-joined Dortmund, who he joined United from for £73million in 2021, but so far he has been unable to recapture his best form.

And after failing to impress in their Champions League clash against PSV this week, Tezin admitted he has a lot of improvement to do.

The Dortmund boss told TNT Sports: “With Jadon it is always good to have him around, inside the team, inside the group and also inside the squad on a matchday, because Jadon is capable of making special things happen.

“He didn’t have his best performance today, like us all, and he knows that he is able to play better football than today.

“This is what we are going to work on, to get him back on this level every three days when needed. But he is full of joy and we are really happy and pleased that he is around.”

Sancho, 23, is yet to score since his return but he did pick up an assist in his second debut as Dortmund thrashed Darmstadt 3-0.

He has two assists in total and has created five chances – while he showed he has not lost his ability to beat a man too as he glided past his marker before winning a penalty against Cologne.

If Sancho rediscovers his form Dortmund could decide to activate a clause in his loan deal to make his stay permanent, though United would reportedly demand £30-40m to let him leave.
