But he will be at Wembley on Sunday, along with sidekick Behdad Eghbali, for the Carabao Cup Final against Liverpool.
Chelsea could win their first silverware since Boehly and his associates from Clearlake Capital bought Chelsea for £4.25 billion in May 2022.
Previous Chelsea owner, Russian Roman Abramovich, missed the club’s last seven visits to Wembley after failing to have his UK visa renewed.
That includes the successful 2018 FA Cup Final – Chelsea’s most recent domestic cup triumph.
Mauricio Pochettino is the fourth head coach appointed by Boehly during a turbulent time for the Blues which has seen them spend £1 billion on players.
Chelsea finished 12th last season, thereby failing to qualify for European football this term.
Winning on Sunday will put Chelsea into next season’s Europa Conference League.
Boehly was absent from Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against champions Manchester City on the weekend, where Raheem Sterling scored against his old club.
