CHELSEA have set a record for the most expensive ticket in Premier League history.

The Blues are charging £5,000 for a seat to watch the clash against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

The expensive seats are located behind Mauricio Pochettino‘s dugout during the match in April.

Chelsea supporters will also get a padded seat and access to the Players’ Arrival experience.

A matchday programme and drinks vouchers are also on offer to people who stump up the money.

Fans have slammed the revelation as they flocked to social media.

One commented: “Charging so much for Pochball is a crime.”

A second wrote: “Sounds like something you’d see on The Apprentice.”

A third posted: “This place is going to be fun once the season ticket renewals come in.”

A fourth said: “£5,000 a game works out at £55 a minute, or almost £1 a second (92p).”

A fifth added: “That used to be a transfer fee.”

In fact, £5000 would have been a record transfer fee in 1922.

West Ham sold Syd Puddefoot to Falkirk for £5,000 after he scored 102 league goals in 158 appearances in nine years at the club.

The Dugout Club will also have pricey tickets worth £3,000 for the Tottenham match and £2,000 for the FA Cup game against Leeds.

The money for the United match would be enough to buy the most expensive adult season ticket in the league.

A single season ticket at Fulham is £3,000 in the club’s rebuilt Riverside Stand.
