Fan treated by medics after ‘falling from upper tier of Stamford Bridge stands’ during Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Leeds

A LEEDS fan was treated by medics during their FA Cup clash with Chelsea.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the supporter suffered a fall from the upper tier at the corner of the away end at Stamford Bridge.

The incident occurred during Wednesday’s FA Cup fifth round tie between Chelsea and Leeds.

Medical staff and police quickly gathered around the fan after the fell celebrating a goal for Leeds.

Play continued whilst the supporter was treated by medics in the stand.

They were then taken away by medical staff and police as supporters looked on in the stands.

Fans were quick to wish the supporter well on X, with one writing: “Speedy recovery fella.”

Another added: “Some things are more important than football.”

Leeds had taken an early lead through youngster Mateo Joseph, who opened the scoring after just eight minutes.

However, goals from Nicolas Jackson and Mykhailo Mudryk turned the match on its head before half-time.

Joseph levelled for the Championship side after the break, though, scoring his second just before the hour mark.

Extra-time and penalties will follow if a winner cannot be found inside 90 minutes.

A home clash against Leicester awaits the winning side in the quarter-finals.
