However, sub Antony levelled late on but it could have got better – only for Marcus Rashford to fire wide when clean through with the last kick of normal time.
However, in another twist in what turned out to be a thrilling contest, Harvey Elliott pulled the trigger from distance right before the break in additional time.
His strike took a deflection off Christian Eriksen’s studs and whizzed straight into the bottom corner to restore Liverpool’s advantage.

But Marcus Rashord equalised with just minutes left and then Amad Diallo popped up to fire home, and was then sent-off for removing his shirt while celebrating, in the final seconds as it finished 4-3.
