Mel Rowley’s chaser has taken his form up a notch since teaming up with title-chasing jockey Harry Cobden. A 4lb rise for his most recent win looks more than fair now and he goes in against veterans’ for the first time here. He should be much too strong.
TOP OF THE BILL (3.45 Wetherby, nb)
He has been in fine form this season with two wins and a pair of thirds from his four runs around Exeter. The two victories were both emphatic and he ran another decent race when third in Devon last time out. His best efforts have come on soft ground so conditions should be ideal here.
RAFFLES WONDER (2.45 Wetherby, treble)
He had 17 lengths in hand when scoring at Hexham earlier this month. He is back out quickly under a 7lb penalty before the handicapper gets really stuck in.
