BRITS should brace for snow and overnight frost in a matter of days.
The weather is set to feel “much colder” in just hours despite Wednesday being the official first day of spring.

The Met Office is warning “wintry showers” are ahead – with temperatures dropping to a chilly 5C.
Forecasters are predicting rain, sleet, hail and snow could batter the country.
Concerns of heavy rain has seen the Environment Agency issue 11 flood warnings and 78 alerts in the last 24 hours.
Much of the country is predicted to experience a downpour with river banks expected to burst.
Local flooding is “probable” for the next five days in parts of the South of England.
Travel disruption is likely while roads and properties could flood.
As we get closer to the weekend, the white stuff is expected to fall.
Parts of Scotland will be blanketed around 10.30pm on Thursday, say the the weather service.
A spokesperson for the Met Office told The Sun: “Over the weekend we are likely to see a mix of sunshine and blustery showers, with some of these showers a wintry mix of rain, sleet, hail and snow.
“Any snowfall is generally going to be confined to higher ground in the north, with lower levels seeing a mix of rain, sleet and hail.
“Any lying snow will most likely be restricted to high ground in Scotland and possibly high ground in the far north of England.
“The main impacts for most people will be that it will be feeling much colder than it currently is feeling with a return of some overnight frosts.”

Rain and showers in the southeast clearing, although low cloud and fog lingering overnight. Clear spells further north with patchy frost. Cloud, rain and gales in the far northwest later.
Thursday
Low cloud and fog clearing in the south, and staying mostly dry with hazy sunshine. Rain and strong winds in the north moving southeast, with sunshine and blustery showers behind.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday
Turning colder with a mix of sunshine and blustery showers on Friday and Saturday, these perhaps wintry in the north and west. Showers easing in the west through Sunday.
