A MILLIONAIRE who led a double life as a sex beast after drugging and raping victims in his home film studio will spend longer behind bars.

Ian Elliott, 71, presented himself as a pillar of the community in the small village in West Sussex where he lived.

But behind closed doors, the predator secretly filmed himself raping men who were so drugged they had no idea what had happened.

Elliott’s vile crimes were only exposed when police discovered hours of sick footage recorded at his home studio “The Penthouse”.

Videos included violent attacks involving riding boots, straps and a wetsuit.

Elliott was jailed for 18 years in February after admitting 43 charges, including 11 rapes, eight sexual assaults and 17 counts of voyeurism.

His sentence has now been upped to 32 years after it was referred to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence Scheme.

The Solicitor General Robert Courts KC MP said:

“Ian Elliott is an extremely dangerous predator, abusing his position of trust to commit some of the most horrific rape and sexual offences against young men.

“I wish to extend my deepest sympathises to his victims and their families as they come to terms with this.

“The Court of Appeal quite rightly agreed his sentence was unduly lenient and his sentence increase should serve as a stark warning that sexual offenders will always be punished to the full extent of the law.”

Hove Crown Court heard previously Elliott was well-known in the village of Wisborough Green and was chairman of the sports club and ran the social club.

The rapist, who sold his business in 2019 for £3million, would gain his victims’ trust then groom them with lavish holidays and trips in his helicopter and boat.

The tycoon asked the men to call him Boss or Boss Man – a name he used for himself.

He would lure them to his home and use drugs to render them comatose.

Elliott then filmed the horrific abuse in more than 90 hours of recordings, which he would repeatedly watch back.

He also took hundreds of photographs, which were found on memory cards he asked a friend to dispose of.

The last sexual assault was in June 2017 when Elliott was 64 but police fear there could be more victims.

He was initially charged with 92 counts but his guilty plea for the 43 charges was accepted.

Speaking at his original sentencing hearing, Elliott’s victims, all in their late teens or early twenties, branded the tycoon a monster in harrowing victim impact statements.

One said: “There are years I will never get back.

“This monster was not the man we all believed him to be. I still, and will be for a long time, be picking up the pieces of his mess. I suffer from nightmares and I long for the day this case is not consuming my brain and we can live a normal life.

“Not only is he a rapist, sexual abuser and liar, he is a con artist and a monster.”

Another said his life would never be the same after he discovered he had been drugged and sexually assaulted.

He said: “At least there will be justice and the community will know the truth about who he is and what he does. Now he’s caught and can’t do more horrific things, the public will know how evil he really is.”
