Within the past two weeks, Brand has faced a series of serious accusations from a number of women.

He was accused of one rape and sexual assault when four women made allegations to the Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches programme.

A slew of further claims then emerged as women revealed their stories to newspapers and the BBC.

At least ten women have come forward to make public claims against the comedian so far.

Brand has denied any wrongdoing, and in a video uploaded to his Instagram account, he said he has evidence to refute allegations.

During the hour-long rant, Brand spoke about free speech, and called the claims a conspiracy by the “mainstream media”.

He said: “We are going to be talking about the State and the legacy media’s war on free speech. And in particular, how that has affected me this week.

“We are going to continue to do on this channel what we’ve always done [which is] tell you the truth as best we can.”

In the latest allegation made against him, the woman accused Brand of being a “sexual predator”, according to the Daily Mail.

The woman reportedly lived near the former Big Brother star and developed a friendship with him in 2015 – before they accused each other of harassment.

Cops are believed to have previously looked into the woman’s claims but had allegedly dismissed them.

But now officers have returned to the case for further investigation.

Yesterday, Thames Valley Police revealed that the woman had contacted them “with new information” regarding the harassment and stalking allegations.

They said: “This information is being investigated, as such it would be inappropriate to comment on an ongoing investigation”.

Brand has been accused of rape, sexual assault, and abuse by four women including, one of whom was aged 16 at the time.

The four women say he attacked them between 2006 and 2013 at the height of his fame when presenting shows for BBC Radio 2 and Channel 4 and starring in Hollywood movies.

The accusations include not only rape and sexual assault but also emotional and physical abuse.

Brand has begged his followers for donations after being blocked from earning cash from YouTube videos following the spate of accusations.

Subscribers pay a minimum £50 a year to subscribe to Rumble, and creators can earn more cash from donations.

Earlier this week, Det Supt Andy Furphy from the Met said: “We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.

“We understand it can feel like a difficult step to take and I want to reassure that we have a team of specialist officers available to advise and support.”
