HMRC has issued a statement as many parents have been left without their child benefit.
There had been reports that thousands of parents hadn’t received the monthly payment, that usually comes at the end of each month, over the weekend.
Parents were told to expect the payment on Monday, June 3, however thousands of parents have still not received the benefit this morning.
A HMRC spokesperson said: “We are aware some customers’ child benefit payments have not arrived and we are working to resolve the issue.”
The Sun has asked HMRC when it expects these payments to be released.
