Balinois is believed to be going through a divorce of her own after being spotted without her wedding ring live on air.
Neither McIlroy nor Balinois have commented on the rumours, with reports suggesting they just have a personal relationship.
But another interview at the Canadian Open on Sunday has sparked fresh speculation of a romance.
