FORMER Arsenal star Alex Iwobi has launched a career in music alongside two other footballers.
Iwobi, 28, has released a song alongside Ajax striker Chuba Akpom and former England youth international Medy Elito.

The trio have released an EP titled “Don’t Shoot”, encouraging the youth of London to shoot for their dreams instead of turning to street violence.
Both Iwobi and Akpom came through the ranks at Arsenal before finding their current clubs.
While Elito, 34, began his career at Colchester United and was last plying his trade with Ramsgate in the seventh tier of English football.
Despite all three players being on the track together, it’s Iwobi that makes history as the first Premier League footballer to ever officially release a single.
The Fulham forward, who played 32 times in the league last season, explained that music has always been a tool for him away from the pitch.
He said: “Music has always been a passion of mine, and a way for me to express myself away from football, music is a great tool and I’ve always used it as a productive way to share how I feel.
“Historically no Premier League player has brought out music with their name and face attached to it, but I like to be different and make a difference.
“Growing up in an area of London that is challenging for some people, I know how hard it can be and I’m grateful to have a
platform to try and make a difference.

“I don’t want young people to feel they have to fit in just one box. I want them to be encouraged to achieve their dreams, to put their focus into positive things.
“Creating music doesn’t take anything away from my football, it actually helps me switch off.
“I will always work hard and try to improve in my sport, but this is a good use of my spare time.”
The song itself sees Iwobi make a number of football references during his verse.
The Nigeria international name drops both Juventus attacker Moise Keane and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice at times throughout the song.

All three stars have released the tune under stage names with Iwobi going by ‘Big 17’, a nod to his shirt number at Arsenal and Everton.
While Akpom, 28, is rapping under the name ‘Scoli’ and Elito uses the cover of ‘Don-EE’.
The song has been the talk of Premier League dressing rooms leading up to its release and Iwobi even hinted at the ‘Don’t Shoot’ title with his goal celebration against Manchester United in April.
