A PREDATOR teen sexually attacked at least three schoolgirls during a ‘reign of terror’ in a sleepy Scots town.
William Westwood-Philips raped one 15-year-old and assaulted two more in just one month while he was also aged 15.
William Westwood-Philips is behind bars after his reign of terror in Dunoon
The serial beast would ply his victims with booze before offering to walk them home and pouncing while on a secluded forest path in Dunoon, Argyll.
He was convicted of the 2020 attacks at the High Court in Paisley last month and caged for four years.
But it’s feared there could be many more victims of Westwood-Philips, who can now be unmasked for the first time after he turned 18.
The remorseless fiend continues to deny the offences – but a local source said his behaviour was well known in the town for YEARS.
They said: “He’s a predator and should be locked up for life.
“I’ve no doubt there are others who fell prey to him – it was a reign of terror he carried out here.
“Eventually the local girls all got together and agreed not to be alone with him. They policed it themselves before the actual police got involved.”
The court heard that Westwood-Philips struck three times in just over a month in October and November 2020.
He first molested a 15 year-old girl on a forest track in the town before inappropriately touching another young female in woods and trying to kiss her on November 13.
He went on to rape another 15 year-old the next day at the same path as his first victim.
The local source said Westwoos-Philips’ MO was to get his victims drunk before putting them at ease by offering to walk them home.
He would then attack them before fleeing. It’s thought the similarities between all the offences secured his conviction.
The source added: “After victims started talking amongst themselves, it became clear he was a danger.
“The local girls would make sure he was never alone with them.”
The source also hit out at the sentence he received – which means he could be freed in less than two years.
They added: “He’s going to spend the next few months surrounded by fellow beasts and will learn to become more sleekit.
“At least everyone will know what he looks like now he’s been pictured by the Scottish Sun.”
Westwood-Philips appeared via video-link for sentencing at the High Court in Glasgow last week.
The court was told he continued to maintain his innocence.
Sentencing, Judge Tom Hughes told Westwood-Philips: “It is quite clear that you embarked on a course of conduct.
“It was not a one-off incident – there were three incidents over a period of time.
“I consider the appropriate sentence for all three offences is four years detention.”
Westwood-Philips was also put on the sex offenders list.
