The Met Police confirmed the suspected criminal damage was to ULEZ cameras.

Fox is also being quizzed on suspicion of encouraging or assisting offences to be committed.

A Met spokesperson told The Sun: “He was arrested and has been taken to a South London police station where he remains in custody.”

Fox, who was suspended from GB News for a foul-mouthed rant against a female journalist, shared footage of the arrest on X (formerly Twitter).

He could be seen smoking a cigar as multiple officers walk around his living room.

The actor said: “Look how many coppers there are in my house…Coming to take everything out of my house.

“That ladies and gentlemen, is the country that we live in.”

He then took a puff of his cigar and did a thumbs up to the camera before branding the Met officers “Sadiq’s Stasi”.

Fox added: “Have a lovely day. I’m going to spend my day in the clink innit.”

His arrest comes after the actor praised so-called ULEZ Bladerunners, who have been ripping down the cameras in London.

Fox encouraged the “mass removal of the surveillance state” on a stream on Rumble.

He also vowed to join agitators in tearing down the camera and promised to come along with an angle grinder.

The presenter added: “I would be happy to be arrested myself.”
