Man arrested on suspicion of murder after baby found dead at home & cops rush to ‘concerns for welfare’

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a baby found was dead at a home.

Cops and paramedics were called to a road in Bloomsbury, central London over a “concern for welfare” just after 2pm yesterday.

A baby was sadly found dead at the address and cops have launched a probe into the circumstances.

Scotland Yard said a man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.

A Met spokesperson said: “Shortly after 2pm yesterday, police were called to Taviton Street, WC1, to reports of a concern for welfare.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene. A baby was sadly found dead.”

The Met spokesperson added: “Enquiries continue into the circumstances.

“A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. He was taken into custody.”

Scotland Yard is expected to issue an update on the case later today.
