TAYLOR FRITZ’S Wimbledon quarter-final was halted due to a medical emergency in the crowd.
The American took the opening set 6-3 against Lorenzo Musetti on No1 Court with 36 minutes on the clock.

But before the second set could get underway with Musetti about to serve, the match was paused.
That is because a spectator in the stadium needed to get treatment from doctors after falling ill.
Fritz and Musetti both returned to their seats as the medical experts tended to the woman.
After a few minutes, she was helped to her feet and walked out of the stand to a ripple of applause from the Wimbledon crowd.
Fritz came through a tough opening service game before eventually holding.
He then broke Musetti’s serve at 2-1 to get the advantage and closed out the first set with an emphatic ace.
Fritz was cheered on by his girlfriend Morgan Riddle in the player box on Wimbledon’s second show court.
Riddle caused a stir on Monday with her behaviour during Fritz’s win over Alexander Zverev, who grumbled at the net and to the press.
The glamorous influencer then took to social media to toast her man’s win, captioning the reel: “When your man wins for the girls.”
That appeared to be a reference to the domestic abuse allegations made against Zverev.
However, Riddle took the posts down shortly after and released a statement to clarify.
Fritz and Musetti were both hoping to reach a Grand Slam semi-final for the first time in their careers.
Before stepping on to court, both men know the winner would face Novak Djokovic in Friday’s semi.
Seven-time champ Djokovic was given a bye when Australian Alex De Minaur had to withdraw after suffering a nasty hip injury as he closed in on beating Arthur Fils on Monday.
