DANA WHITE has revealed the UFC currently have “ideas” in mind for their upcoming historic card.

Mixed martial arts‘ premier promotion – which has been responsible for the growth of the sport across the globe over the last 30 years – is edging ever closer to its 300th pay-per-view card.

UFC 300 is a matter of months away, although the exact date for the event has not yet been revealed.

Fight fans around the world are asking themselves two questions in relation to the card: When will it take place and who will headline it?

The 300th PPV instalment of the Ultimate Fighting Championship is expected to take place in Las Vegas in the spring.

But the headline act for the card is still a mystery, although White admits he and his fellow matchmakers already have a few fights in mind for what will likely be the showpiece card of 2024.

The promotion’s long-time president and newly-minted CEO revealed: “I think we have fights all the way made up until February 3rd or 10th, or something like that.

“And we’ve got ideas for March and April.”

Two people White insists won’t be headlining UFC 300 are former champions and current WWE stars Brock Lesnar and Ronda Rousey.

Both have been linked with shock returns to the cage in recent months, although the prospect of either lacing up their gloves again has been emphatically shut down by White.

“There’s no shot,” White said of the prospect of former women’s bantamweight champion Rousey fight again in an interview with Sports Illustrated. “She’s accomplished everything she set out to do.

“Her dream was to win a UFC championship, then win a WWE championship, and she’s done it.

“Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money, and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”

White said of former heavyweight champion Lesnar potentially fighting again: “I think Brock’s done. I don’t think he ever comes back.”

Current UFC stars Israel Adesanya and Sean O’Malley are serious contenders to top the historic UFC 300 bill.

The biggest star in the history of the sport, Conor McGregor, who hasn’t fought since breaking his leg over two years ago, is a likely frontrunner to headline the card.

And The Notorious’ current slated opponent Michael Chandler reckons the landmark event will be the setting for their long-awaited dance.

“My heart of hearts says the biggest fight we’ve seen in a very long time has to go down on the biggest card that the UFC is going to put together since UFC 200, since UFC 100,” Chandler said during an appearance on The MMA Hour.

“My heart of hearts, my gut says we might be waiting until UFC 300.

“Good thing I’ve got a lot of things to keep my busy, and I get an opportunity to train for Conor for a very long time.”
