AN XL Bully hound that mauled to death dad-of-two Ian Price was linked to at least two other attacks, cops revealed.

Police told locals in a letter that one of two dogs that killed Aston Villa fan Ian last month was involved in maulings in 2021 and 2022.

They offered advice on how to better secure the dogs more than a year before Ian, 52, was killed trying to protect his mother in Stonnall, Staffs.

It is believed the pair of hounds had fled from a window whilst the owner, who cannot be named, was away from his ground-floor flat.

The owner was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and having dogs dangerously out of control and later bailed.

He has not yet been charged.

The amateur boxer, 30, could now be questioned over the fresh revelations.

The lengthy letter said: “We have since been carrying out further enquiries for the suspect as part of our investigation, and now understand he and one of the dogs may have been involved in two other incidents in Fradley in November 2021 and January 2022.

“These incidents involved two dogs and one owner being attacked.”

Police confirmed the letter was legitimate.
