THE Met Office has warned of Storm Lillian chaos today – with heavy rain and 80mph winds bringing Bank Holiday travel mayhem.
Three yellow weather warnings are in place across the UK this morning as the storm makes landfall.

A wind warning will cover north Wales, northern England and southern Scotland until 11am.
Winds of up to 80mph will push eastwards this morning – sparking delays on the M6, A66, and A1(M).
Some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen.
The flying debris poses a “danger to life” along with large waves on the sea front, forecasters said.
Power cuts in the warning zone may knock out other services like mobile phone coverage.
And road, rail, air and ferry services may see major delays and cancellations.
A yellow rain warning is also in force for south west Scotland and Aberdeenshire until 9am.
Homes, roads and businesses could all be flooded and up to 50mm of rain could fall on high ground.
Met Office expert Jason Kelly said: “Storm Lilian will bring some potentially damaging gusts during Friday morning.
“Gusts will be widely in the 50-60mph range, with the possibility of some gusts in excess of 75mph in a few places.
“There’s associated rainfall with Lilian that has also resulted in a Met Office warning for parts of Scotland.
“Within the warning area, another 50mm of rain is possible over high ground, with 20-30mm falling quite widely.
“Much of this is falling on saturated ground so increases the chance of some surface water flooding.”
Tomorrow will also see heavy rainfall across southern England – but this should clear by mid-afternoon.
The rest of the weekend will be dry and fine, though temperatures will be a little nippy.
But the north west will have to endure more showers and strong winds throughout the Bank Holiday weekend.
