TEN migrants have reportedly died after a boat containing dozens of people capsized in the Channel, according to French media.
A major rescue operation is underway after the boat “got into difficulty” near the French coastal town of Le Portel.

Reuters is reporting that 10 migrants have died after their boat sunk around 28 miles south-west of Calais at around 11.30am.
Olivier Barbarin, the mayor of French coastal town Le Portel, earlier told France 3: “Around 10 people in cardio-respiratory arrest”.
French coastguard vessels Minck and Abeille Normandie have been seen on search and rescue duty near Le Portel.
