Dijvenbode known as the “Aubergenius” powered past the 17-year-old to secure his spot in the quarterfinals in Belgium.
Despite missing a match point, Littler couldn’t take advantage, leaving him to watch on as Dirk van Duijvenbode celebrates.
The Dutchman averaged 101.38 and threw five 180s during the match against the Nuke.
Following victory over Luke Littler Van Dijvenbode said: “I was so focused.
“I said, ‘Dirk, if you want to win this game, you need to be at your best.
“We’ve never seen a kid like this; he has so much more to improve and he’s already unbeatable.
“I’m still not 100%, and I won’t be this year. But winning these games gives a confidence boost.”
The 32-year-old will now play Ricardo Pietreczko in the last eight.
