Ajax are in full crisis mode after their 2-1 defeat to AZ Alkmaar made the start of this term their worst to date.
The Amsterdam giants are in the Eredivisie relegation zone with just five points from their opening six games.
That record of one win, two draws and three defeats replicates their previous worst start during the 1964/65 season.
De Boer has criticised the club and blames the disaster on not bringing in the right players.
He said on the Voetbal International podcast: “It may seem tough, but you can’t make chocolate out of shit. I’m really worried, I don’t know where that’s going.”
He then joked: “We have a relegation match against FC Utrecht-Ajax in two weeks’ time. I’ve never experienced anything like this.
“I watched the 1-2 loss against AZ on Sunday. The match was terribly bad.
“I have nothing against the guys who have arrived. They are happy to play at Ajax, but it is not possible to bring in so many second-rate players and think that they will perform at a higher level.

“Everyone thinks we were going to play against Bayern Munich or PSG for the next twenty years. All of that has now vanished and that hurts.”
Ajax’s horrific start has caused unrest among fans and their 4-0 defeat to Feyenoord sparked outrage.
A clash broke out at the Johan Cruyff Arena during the game after fans threw flares onto the pitch.
The match was temporarily paused before half-time due to ‘fireworks’ on the pitch.
The same thing happened after the break, with officials eventually deeming it too unsafe for the match to continue as Ajax were 3-0 down.
When the game resumed behind closed doors Maurice Steijn’s side conceded again, solidifying their humiliating defeat.
Now Ajax must wait until after the international break to redeem themselves against Utrecht.
They also face Brighton in Europa League Group B on October 26 where the team will hope to snatch their first win of the tournament.
