CASEMIRO scored a stunning long-range strike to mark the start of Manchester United’s post-Erik ten Hag era.

Dutchman Ten Hag, 54, was sacked on Monday morning after two years at the helm.

Ruud van Nistelrooy took charge of The Red Devils for their last-16 Carabao Cup clash at home to Leicester on Wednesday, with Ruben Amorim still negotiating a deal to become the permanent successor.

And things got off to the perfect start for the Old Trafford faithful as Casemiro bagged a rocket from 25 yards out to give Man Utd the lead after 15 minutes.
