MIKE TYSON is open to prolonging his boxing career after his controversial bout with Jake Paul next Saturday.

Tyson, 58, faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul on November 15 in a fight widely criticised over the 30-year age gap.

The former undisputed heavyweight world champ ended his professional career back in 2005 when he quit on his stool against Kevin McBride.

He fought in an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr in 2020, but shocked the world earlier this year when he agreed terms to step back into the ring once more against 27-year-old Paul.

But despite health concerns leading to the fight being postponed from its initial July date, Tyson is willing to consider more fights in the future after facing Paul.

When asked by talkSPORT whether he plans to fight again, he replied: “It’s a possibility.”

On the types of sparring partners he’s trained with, Tyson added: “Guys that emulate Jake.

“I bring some big strong guys in to help me. I got a lot of movers and a couple of big guys to pretty much go head-to-head with.”

Tyson was forced to pull out of the initial July 20 date.

He suffered an ulcer flare up in his stomach but has since been deemed medically fit to continue training.

Tyson is also required to undergo additional brain and hearts checks ahead of his fight along with pre-bout drug testing alongside Paul.

Paul, 27, has 10 wins and only one loss in the boxing ring, losing a 2023 split-decision to Tommy Fury, 25.

And British boxing great Lennox Lewis also refused to rule out a return to the ring.

Lewis, 59, will have a keen eye on the controversial clash after being probed on a rematch with Iron Mike.

He told TMZ: “Let’s see how he makes out in this fight, and then I’ll tell you after.”
