Trump is known as a big foodie and has regularly been spotted tucking into chicken nuggets or take-away burgers before washing it all down with a diet Coke.

He is a proud lover of American food and very often American portion sizes.

In the run-up to the election he was even seen spending an afternoon working inside a McDonald’s and handing out grub.

Rush, who cooked for Trump in his first presidential reign, told TMZ: “The president-elect has a history with his food. Everybody is talking about his food.”

The chef says when he used to plate up dishes for the former and now incoming US leader it would often be burgers, tacos or meatloaf.

With Trump, aged 70 at the time, having a number of often unhealthy eating habits due to his hectic schedule.

Rush fears that with another four years passing and Trump continuing to stay active he will have to improve his diet.

He said: “He’s 78 years old so his food habits should change. I’m not saying they are going to change but back in the day he was always on the run.

“Not eating for like 16/17 hours a day, never ate breakfast much, wasn’t a lunch guy really.

“His main meal was dinner but now you’ve got to think that that was back then.

“Now it’s up to the chefs to understand and also kinda manipulate to try and get him to eat more healthy.”

Chef Rush has worked with a few famous faces across his impressive cookery career.

Along with Trump he has also helped out three other presidents in Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

Trump is said to be a big fan of salmon – a dish that Rush says he is happy to always plate up due its rich health benefits.

The chef said: “He needs his omegas, he needs his fish, fatty acids.

“He needs all these fatty foods from avocados, berries and fruits that he never ate before.”

Rush says he expects to see Trump eating a lot more of this style of food going forwards along with his chefs teaching him why he needs to improve his diet.

Incredible behind-the-scenes footage from Trump’s successful election campaign has now emerged – providing a rare insight into the days leading up to his historic win.

The clip shows him munching on nuggets and working on his speeches against Democratic rival Kamala Harris.

Sitting around a giant table, his team members take notes as they prepare for fightback at the next election rally.

Trump can be seen with a bottle of Coke in his hand as a huge plate of fast-food sits in the middle of the table.

The hardwork has clearly paid off with Trump set to achieve a historic election clean sweep not seen in 40 years after capturing all seven key swing states in the election.

The president-elect won key battlegrounds – Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina – and is now projected to win Arizona and Nevada.

And he will become the first candidate from either party to pull that off since Ronald Reagan’s historic 1984 reelection landslide victory where he won 49 states.

What happens after the election?

After the election but before the inauguration, there is a transition period where the incoming president begins to plan and organize the administration.

The General Services Administration (GSA) provides resources to the President-elect for this process, and the incoming team starts setting up government operations.

On January 20, Trump will be sworn into office in a ceremony held at the U.S. Capitol.

After taking the Oath of Office, the new president officially begins his term.

Once he’s taken office, Trump should be nominating his key cabinet members and other senior staff.

These appointments need to be confirmed by the Senate.

And some positions, like secretaries of state, defense, and treasury, are critical for the functioning of the executive branch.

Trump can then begin implementing his agenda through executive orders, which are legally binding directives to federal agencies.

This is often one of the first actions a new president takes to address immediate policy concerns.

Once in office, Trump will begin receiving classified intelligence briefings to get up to speed on national security matters.

This is an ongoing process that continues throughout the president’s term.

Trump may also begin discussions with members of Congress to ensure cooperation on their legislative agenda.

Early engagements often focus on key priorities like economic plans, healthcare, or national security.

Both during the inauguration and in the weeks following it, Trump is expected to often give speeches to outline his goals and vision for America.
