JOE Biden’s secret polling had Donald Trump destroying the president while he stayed in the 2024 presidential race.
The figures were so dire that Biden would have likely even lost his home state of deep-blue Delaware – and been hammered in the battleground swing states.

The internal polling taken before Biden dropped out was revealed by former Barack Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau on podcast Pod Save America.
Favreau said: “Joe Biden’s decision to run for president again was a catastrophic mistake.
“He and his inner circle refused to believe the polls, refused to believe he was unpopular, they refused to acknowledge until very late that anyone could be upset about inflation.”
Favreau revealed that the White House was telling reporters that Harris could not win the election and Biden was the strongest candidate.
But Biden’s internal polling was uncovered after the Harris campaign took over the Biden campaign’s operations.
It showed “Donald Trump was going to win 400 electoral votes,” Favreau said.
With counting still going in the 2024 election, The Sun has modelled what states would have flipped to Trump off the 2020 presidential results.
If Trump won 400 electoral college votes he would have begun turning reliably blue states red.
Forget Biden being competitive in the seven battleground swing states that usually decide the election.
Trump’s landslide would have flipped the Democratic strongholds of Oregon, New Jersey, and Maine.
Biden would have even lost his home state of Delaware which he has been so strongly associated with over his 50 years of public life.
Delaware hasn’t given its electoral college votes to a Republican since George H.W Bush trounced Michael Dukakis in 1988.
That year, Bush Sr won 426 electoral college votes and 53 per cent of the popular vote.
In his 400 scenario, Trump would have been highly likely to have won the popular vote by a wide margin.

Trump is set to win the 2024 popular vote by just under two percentage points – the first time a Republican has won it since 2004.
The internal polling revelation comes as the Democrats dissect how they lost the election.
Biden and his team have come under fire for staying in the race for so long despite knowing the president was so unpopular.
That gave Kamala Harris less time to campaign and also prevented a primary where a stronger candidate from the party could have beaten the VP to the nomination.
Biden was forced to drop out of the election race in July, after questions swirled about his cognitive abilities.
He bombed in his June debate against Trump after bumbling his way through answers.
Democrats described the debate as an “unmitigated disaster”, “a meltdown”, and “a slow-motion car crash.”
Biden eventually succumbed to the pressure and dropped out of the race – quickly endorsing Harris.
Despite dropping out, Biden still was gaffe-laden on the campaign trail referring to Trump’s voters as “garbage”.
Speaking after Harris lost on Wednesday, Biden said he had spoken with Trump to congratulate him and “expressed his commitment to ensuring a smooth transition”.
He also praised Vice President Harris during a brief address from the White House last week, promising an orderly transition of power in January.
“I will do my duty as president,” he said.
