Plane used by King and Queen grounded after windows missing at 10,000 feet

A PLANE used by the King and Queen for their state visit to France last month was grounded after its windows blew at 10,000 feet, according to reports.

The aircraft has also been used by PM Rishi Sunak and Foreign Secretary James Cleverly on official trips abroad.

The Titan Airways plane stopped carrying members of the Royal family and government last month and re-entered private service for wealthy clients.

It was on its first, private commercial trip From Stansted London to Orlando Florida on October 4 when the alarm sounded.

Crew noticed an “excessive cabin noise” as the plane hit about 10,000ft in its climb.

Aborting the trip, they turned back to Stansted where they found “three windows were missing and loose”.

Details of the security scare were given by the French investigation authority BEA and reported on the Flight Global website.

No one was injured.

But the shocking revelation will raise concerns about the safety of the jet when members of the Royal family and government were flying in it.
