The horror unfolded at a house in Brisley, Norfolk on Monday, before the hound escaped its garden and was running free on the streets.

The owner, a woman in her 60s, could be heard screaming for help after her dog Denvor turned on her.
Police were raced to the property where they freed the woman from the monster, but it managed to escape the property.
It was then found an hour later in the car park of Brisley Church of England Primary Academy.
All students were rushed inside before the school was forced to evacuate – after police tied the hound to a post.
Headteacher Belinda Allen said: “Our school staff were alerted by the police that there was a dangerous dog and immediately actioned staff to clear the area.
“There was no immediate danger to staff or children within the school area.”
Police said they called on local vets to try to get the dog sedated, but none were free.
The dog was then destroyed, with the owner’s permission.
The woman was also raced to hospital with multiple injuries, but they are not thought to be life-threatening.
Inspector Diana Woodage said: “This was a terribly sad and distressing situation.
“Officers were faced with an incredibly difficult situation when they arrived at the scene – a woman being viciously attacked by her dog and was very clearly injured and in some pain.
“In the interests of public safety and at the request of the owner, the dog was humanely destroyed.”
Denvor was adopted from Dogs Trust Snetterton less than a month ago and had “no history of aggression”, with the trust believing him to have “settled well into his new home”.
A Dogs Trust spokeswoman told Eastern Daily Press: “Our priority at this time is to provide as much support as possible to people affected by this incident, and we will be undertaking a thorough investigation.”
It comes after a spate of fatal and serious dog attacks across the UK has seen PM Rishi Sunak vow to ban XL Bullies.
He announced last month that the breed will be outlawed under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
