Who were Ed and Lorraine Warren?
Born on September 7, 1926, Edward Warren Miney was a paranormal investigator from Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Similar to Ed, Lorraine Warren was also a paranormal investigator
She was born Lorraine Moran on January 31, 1927, in the Connecticut town of Monroe.
After marrying in 1945, the two demonologists welcomed their only daughter Judy on January 11, 1946.
Artifacts from their supernatural exploits are preserved in the Occult Museum, which is located behind their home in Monroe.
For several years, the paranormal exhibition was a popular tourist attraction.
On October 31, 2019, it was announced the Occult Museum was closed due to zoning violations.
Ed and Lorraine’s ghost-hunting experiences have served as the basis for several TV specials, movies, and documentaries.

Was Lorraine Warren involved in The Conjuring movies?
Lorraine was heavily involved in The Conjuring franchise, she even made a cameo appearance in the first installment.
On the big screen, she’s portrayed by Vera Farmiga; the two remained friends until the former passed away.
A combination of the Perron case and the Annabelle doll were the basis of the first Conjuring’s premise.
Meanwhile, the second film’s storyline was based on the Enfield poltergeist.

The third movie’s plot was centered on Arne Cheyenne Johnson’s case.
While describing her memories of Lorraine, Vera told Screen Rant: “She has a full-blown conviction that this is an ordained position, that each of us have gifts, and if you don’t utilize them, they whittle away.
“I think it’s the physical danger that she was in and Ed was in at all times.
“You know, I have these tapes in my trailer of the actual recorded sessions, and these voices you hear…At times, it’s actually quite light-hearted and corny.
“I think their actual lives were in danger. She was never afraid of the human. She was afraid of the inhuman.”
The Oscar nominee added: “I think she was just so secure in her gift.
“I think there’s a reason she was the go-to medium for decades.
“I don’t think she had anything to prove to anyone but to whatever entity was in the room.”
When did Ed and Lorraine Warren die?
On August 23, 2006, 79-year-old Ed died after years of deteriorating health.
On April 18, 2019, 92-year-old Lorraine died in her sleep; she and her late husband are buried at Stepney Cemetery in Connecticut.
