A TEEN boy has died just days before Christmas after he was mowed down on a street – with an alleged female drug driver arrested.
The 15-year-old was hit by a silver Ford Fiesta in the Hampshire town of Andover at around 6pm on Saturday.
He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and has now died.
The boy’s family are being supported by specialist officers while detectives probe the horror.
A 29-year-old local woman behind the wheel of the Fiesta has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs.
She has been released from police custody but remains under investigation.
Hampshire Police said: “We are still appealing for any witnesses to please come forward and speak to police.
“Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you were driving through the area and may have dash cam footage which captured something?
“Anyone with footage or information is asked to please make contact with us.”
