The New York City Police Department confirmed to The U.S. Sun that officers were responding to the scene of “multiple injuries.”

New York fire officials said at least three people were transported to the hospital after a yellow cab van jumped a curb and struck several pedestrians, according to CBS News.

Photos obtained by the outlet showed the taxi with several dents on the side of the vehicle and its front bumper completely ripped out.

It’s unclear if the taxi driver intentionally struck the pedestrians or if it was an accident.

Footage shared online showed a large fire department presence at the scene.

The location is home to Macy’s flagship department store, where thousands of tourists flock to see the shop’s Christmas decorations.
