NEW ZEALAND has marked the dawn of 2025 with a spectacular fireworks display.
Auckland ushered in the New Year at 11am UK time as crowds gathered in the capital city to celebrate.

The Pacific island of Kiritimati – also known as Christmas Island – was one of the first places to hit midnight an hour earlier.
The next major city will be Sydney, with another epic fireworks display prepared.
Photos have begun coming through of people already gathering outside Sydney Opera House – which hits midnight at 1pm UK time.
