COPS have released CCTV in their hunt for a man who allegedly licked a woman’s cheek before putting his hand up her skirt in a beer hall sex assault.
A woman in her 20s was in the Bier Keller in Newcastle’s Bigg Market at 1am on Saturday, November 16 when a man approached her.
The man then grabbed her face and licked her right cheek before putting his hand up her skirt, Northumbria Police said.
The force has today released a CCTV snap of a man who was in the area at the time.
Detectives believe he could help them with their probe into the sexual assault.
Northumbria Police said: “Enquiries have been ongoing and the woman continues to be supported by specially-trained officers.
“Today we are releasing an image of a man we would like to identify.”
The man, or anyone who recognises him, should call cops on 101 quoting reference number 135834Q/24.
