Australian-born Robson, 41, later went on to accuse pop superstar Michael Jackson of sexually abusing him.
Gossip has swirled for a long time that Britney, 41, split up with Justin in 2002 after getting with Wade.
It has been suspected for years that Timberlake wrote his hit song Cry Me a River about Spears cheating on him.
In her memoir, Britney claims she did cheat one time with the choreographer after finding out that Justin had slept around behind her back.
She writes of her fling with Wade: “We were out one night and we went to a Spanish bar. We danced and danced. I made out with him that night.”
She goes on to claim that she had been loyal to Justin for years “with that one exception”.
Britney also says she confessed the fling to Justin but they were able to move past it and stay together.
Fans in Mexico, who got the book a week early after it went on sale in error, claim that Britney says Justin secretly bedded two celebs — one believed to be All Saints star Nicole Appleton.
In 2000 it was widely rumored that Nicole and Justin had a fling after they were snapped sneaking into the St Martins Lane Hotel in West London, where he was staying following a night out.
In the book, Britney claims JT cheated on her with another star who is now “married with children”, but doesn’t name her.
The revelations come after it emerged that Britney had an abortion after she got pregnant with Justin’s baby in around 2000 when the pair were 19.
Following “heart-wrenching discussions” the former couple – who dated from 1999 to 2002 – agreed not to go ahead with the pregnancy because they were too young.
The decision is said to have “haunted” Britney before she went on to have her sons Sean Preston in 2005 and Jayden James in 2006 with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Justin, 42, went on to marry The Illusionist actress Jessica Biel, 41, and the couple share sons Silas, eight, and Phineas, three.
A source told The U.S. Sun that the revelations will have left Justin and his family reeling.
The insider, a longtime family friend, said: “Justin owns who he was when he and Britney were together, even though his personality, career, lifestyle, and personal priorities are radically different now, twenty years later.
“This book is a nightmare for him because of how it throws the whole family into chaos.
“The timing stings just as much as the revelation itself.
“Justin had a big fall planned with new music on deck, more work with his old friends in NSYNC, and of course, the next installment of the Trolls franchise, which has been a huge moneymaker for Justin over the last several years.”
ABUSE CLAIMS
At the peak of his career, Wade Robson directed music videos and world tours for stars including Britney and Justin’s band NSYNC.
He also had his own show on MTV called The Wade Robson Project in 2003 and was a guest judge on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance.
He was befriended by pop superstar Michael Jackson when he was a kid and dated the star’s niece Brandi for seven years.
In recent years, he has been in the news after accusing Jackson of sexual abuse in the controversial documentary Leaving Neverland in 2019.
When the late Thriller singer was first accused of child sex abuse in 1993, he reportedly told cops that nothing sexual had happened between them.
During Jackson’s trial in 2005, Robson stated under oath that Jackson had never behaved inappropriately towards him.
He reversed his position in 2013 and filed a late creditor claim and a civil lawsuit against the Jackson estate.
Robson claimed in his lawsuit that the star abused him from 1990 to 1997, when he was aged between seven and 14.
Jackson’s estate sued HBO for $100m over its Leaving Neverland documentary for allegedly breaching a non-disparagement clause from 1992 and the case was sent to arbitration.
Robson and fellow Jackson accuser James Safechuck, who also features in the documentary, both previously had sex abuse lawsuits against companies linked to Jackson dismissed.
But in August an appeals court judge in California ruled that the cases can resume.
Britney’s memoir is due to be released on October 24.
