Martinelli joined Arsenal from Ituano as an unknown prodigy in 2019 and has since become a key first-team star.
Now Arsenal are on a mission to discover whether Trindade could follow in his countryman’s footsteps, with the North London club sending scouts to watch the youngster, report The Express.
Trindade has made 157 appearances for Fluminese and his performances in Brazil’s Serie A have seen him win his first caps for his country.
The midfielder has two Brazil caps and attracted Premier League interest in the summer – from Liverpool.
The Reds remain keen on Trindade after Fluminese rejected approaches due to their Copa Libertadores ambitions.
Liverpool are believed to have submitted a £25million bid to sign Trindade.
Arsenal aim to fend off Liverpool’s interest with sporting director Edu visiting Fluminese’s training ground during the international break.
The Gunners appear to be preparing their January transfer wishlist with the club reported to be keen on signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
