DONALD Trump’s potential redevelopment of Gaza could look something like another family property project.
The president doubled down on turning Gaza into part of America on Sunday and described the destroyed Palestinian territory as one “big real estate site”.

Trump said he wanted to create a “Riviera of the Middle East” last week after resettling Palestinians elsewhere – an idea first floated by his real estate developer son-in-law Jared Kushner.
Kushner is redeveloping an Albanian island and a stretch of coastline that could provide a hint at what a Trump takeover of Gaza could look like.
The coastal luxury complex is being built on a stretch of unspoilt coastline in southern Albanian, near the town of Vlorë.
Artistic renderings show the £1.2billion project will dot the rocky coast with futuristic-looking villas that will be a sunbather’s dream.
Kushner is also working on a second development on a former Soviet submarine and chemical weapons base on the island of Sazan.
Soviet-era gas masks can be found scattered around the island.
It was forbidden for people to travel to the military outpost until the government opened it up for tourism in 2015.
With a pristine coastline, the uninhabited coast on the island is set to be a popular holiday destination.
Unlike Gaza, animals like ospreys, pelicans, and turtles inhabit the Sazan and the Albanian coast.
These will be replaced with the beautiful villas, swimming pools, and jetties.
Edi Rama, Albania’s prime minister, said: “We need luxury, just like [the] desert needs water.”
The brutalist concrete base is set to be replaced by modern timber and glass apartments overlooking the sea.
Across the two projects are set to be 10,000 hotel rooms, with some 30,000 guests maximum at full capacity.
Trump, who was in real estate before his turn to politics, reiterated his plan despite massive outcry last week.

The president spoke to reporters while returning from Super Bowl 59 where the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40 to 22.
He said described Gaza as a “demolition site” that would be “levelled out” and “fixed up.”
The enclave has been hammered by IDF bombs after Hamas launched their October 7 terror attack and then withdrew to underground tunnels.
Trump said: “I think that it’s a big mistake to allow people — the Palestinians, or the people living in Gaza — to go back yet another time, and we don’t want Hamas going back.
And think of it as a big real estate site, and the United States is going to own it and we’ll slowly — very slowly, we’re in no rush — develop it.
“We’re going to bring stability to the Middle East soon.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the Republican’s clear plan to help rebuild the war-torn strip saying it will “change history”.
He also told how America “will do a job with it” if they own the Gaza Strip and take full responsibility to dismantle it safely after years of torment for the people of Palestine.
Trump’s Middle East envoy said they plan on creating a three to five-year timeline for the reconstruction of Gaza.
Detailed plans are yet to be revealed over the potential demolition plot but the newly-inaugurated President said it will involve a complete reconstruction.
He said they would destroy all of the buildings in the war zone before beginning to “create an economic development”.
Trump urged as many countries as possible to take in the displaced Palestinians so the upheaval of Gaza could be completed peacefully.
Trump’s remarks sparked fury among Arab countries with Egypt, Jordan and Saudi Arabia immediately rejecting the plan.
Hamas dismissed the comments as “absurd” and issued a stern warning it could spark more tension in the Middle East.
The relocation of Palestinians is a highly sensitive subject among the Arab world.
Palestinians fear a repetition of the 1948 events that saw some 700,000 fleeing their homes during the Arab-Israeli war.
