And last week he got a special commendation for his heroism.
Ibrahim, 21, sprang into action when the batsman keeled over.
He said: “I immediately recognised the signs of him going into cardiac arrest, so I prepared to start CPR while we got another player to ring 999.
“It took 13 minutes of chest compressions and two shocks to resuscitate the patient.
“Thankfully, he opened his eyes and was talking to me before paramedics arrived.”
August’s drama came in a T20 match between Ibrahim’s White Coppice CC and Ingol CC in Chorley, Lancs.
The paramedic science student has also completed a placement at Morecambe Ambulance Station.
He was presented with his commendation by the North West Ambulance Service at Preston University.
NWAS medical director Dr Chris Grant said: “Actions such as this should be seen as inspirational.”
The patient, in his 60s, has recovered after cardiac surgery.
