VOLODYMYR Zelensky has offered to step down as Ukraine’s president in exhange for peace or getting his country a Nato membership.

The shocking remark comes as Donald Trump and Russia hold peace talks without Kyiv at the table.

On Sunday, the Ukrainian president said: “I am ready to step down if it brings peace. Or trade it for Nato.”

He added that he was more concerned with the security of Ukraine now than in 20 years and that holding the office for ten years was not his “dream.”

His remarks came after Donald Trump dubbed him a “dictator” for refusing to organise elections, which are prohibited in Ukraine under martial law.
