CCTV footage has captured what is believed to be the last sighting of Brit journalist Charlotte Peet after she mysteriously disappeared in Brazil.
The bombshell clip shows the 32-year-old woman inside a hostel where she was staying from February 17 to 24 in Botafogo, Rio.

Charlotte can be seen walking to the reception of the hostel where a member of staff is working.
She hands the staffer what appears to be dirty laundry, before waiting for the receptionist to do some admin on the computer.
The journalist was seen wearing a white short-sleeve top and black shorts, carrying a large black backpack and another smaller black bag.
She also had a blue plastic bag, holding what appears to be food items, and her hair was tied up.
Charlotte then appears to wait for about a minute with the receptionist, exchanging a few words, before heading off again.
The footage is dated February 24 – 14 days after she was reported missing to police.
Meanwhile, three new pictures surfaced of the missing journalist showing her alive and well.
Brazilian police released two images, which are said to show the 32-year-old taking a selfie on a bus to Rio de Janeiro, as well as a third of her sitting at a bar near Copacabana beach.
The bus selfies appear to have been taken on the day she first went missing on February 8, according to Brazilian media outlet Globo.
Police were initially unsure if Charlotte ever boarded a bus despite footage reportedly showing her at the city’s Tiete Bus Terminal.
Investigators also confirmed that she purchased a ticket from Sao Paulo to Rio de Janeiro but never used it.
The third image of Charlotte is reportedly from February 15.
The freelance journalist, who worked for outlets such as Al Jazeera, The Telegraph and The Times, is believed to be carrying out a “voluntary disappearance”, according to local police.
It is unclear whether cops are able to use GPS location data from her phone – which was active as of last Friday – to help with the search.
Two of the recently disclosed images of her are believed to show her on a bus on the way to Rio.

She is then believed to have travelled to another hostel in the neighbourhood of Botafogo up until Monday, when this new footage was captured.
Investigators also made several attempts to ring the Brit’s device but were unable to get a hold of her.
This led authorities to expand the search, checking hospitals and morgues in both Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Another area that was being looked into involved her final post online.
Just four days before her disappearance, Charlotte posted a message in a Facebook group.
The post saw her looking for a double room in London — suggesting she may have been considering returning home.
She wrote: “Hello. I’m looking for a double room in South West/East London: East Dulwich, Brixton, Herne Hill, Clapham, Balham, Streatham, Camberwell etc or would consider venturing east to the right place.
“I’m a 32-year-old journalist, friendly, respectful and organised. I love reading, keeping active and chatting to friends.
“Let me know if I sound like a good fit! Thanks!”
Peet, who has been working as a journalist in Brazil since 2020, briefly returned to London at the end of 2023 after her family expressed concerns about what they described as her “party life” in Brazil.
But she decided to return to the country in November last year.
