British Airways pilot suspended after he’s arrested for ‘domestic violence’

A BRITISH Airways pilot has been suspended after being arrested for alleged domestic violence.

First Officer Iain Moon, 35, is grounded on full pay until the outcome of criminal proceedings.

The married father of three is charged with common assault, assault by beating and stalking.

He could be jailed if he is found guilty.

Moon pleaded not guilty to the charges at a court hearing on October 9.

Airline colleagues are said to be in “complete shock” about the pilot’s pending trial.

Before he began flying for BA, Moon served in the RAF.

He has since worked for the airline for nine years.

A spokesman for British Airways today told The Sun: “It would be inappropriate to comment during ongoing court proceedings.”
