LUKE LITTLER admitted Man United’s FA Cup defeat spurred him on to a FIFTH major title in 13 months.
The teen sensation made easy work of dumping James Wade 11-2 to win the UK Open in Minehead on Sunday night.

Littler, 18, picked up the £110,000 jackpot in the event dubbed the FA Cup of darts after seeing Ruben Amorim’s men lose on pens to Fulham during his semi-final.
‘The Nuke’ hit nine 180s and a 101 average and said: “In the semi-final second break I heard that Manchester United lost so it spurred me on a bit.
“I won the next five and I got the job done. Before I walked on it went to penalties.
“It’s obviously one I’ve wanted to win. It’s my third time here. I came here two years ago as a 16-year-old. Last year quarter-final and I’ve gone two better this year to win it.
“I had a job to do. I just wanted to pick up the trophy. It’s one I can tick off the list now.
“I’m looking at the Premier League making the top four so I go to the O2.
“But now it’s looking to Brighton (on Thursday), the ProTour in Antwerp. It’s going to be a long few weeks.
“I’ve said plenty of times, my goal was to win one of every major.”
Littler was unstoppable from the off hitting a 180 in each of the opening legs to lead 5-0 at the first break in just over eight minutes.
He continued his ruthless streak to win the next four legs for an incredible 9-0 lead. Wade, who was limping and also suffered a cut finger, finally hit double five to avoid the whitewash.
But Littler soon wrapped it up with double six for another major title.
Wade said: “It’s been a long time since I got to a final. I played well in the semi, in the final he just totally gassed me out.
“I’m the senior dart player, he absolutely bashed me to bits. As much as it kills me to say it. Fair play to him. At the moment he is probably the best or second best dart player in the world.”
