Miracle as 46 workers buried by avalanche pulled out ALIVE after days

DOZENS of workers buried by an avalanche have been rescued days after being trapped inside metal containers in the Himalayas.

On Friday, 54 construction workers were submerged under snow and debris after the avalanche hit the work site near Mana Village, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, killing eight.

But a lengthy search and rescue mission lasting three days in sub-zero temperatures saw the remaining workers pulled out alive from the containers with the final people rescued on Sunday.
