LEWIS HAMILTON cannot afford another disqualification at the Mexico GP as he is running out of time to snatch second spot from Sergio Perez on the F1 leaderboards.

The British mogul went past the USA GP chequered flag in second place behind 2023 title winner Max Verstappen.

Lewis Hamilton got disqualified at the USA GP after finishing secondRex

But Hamilton was stripped of his podium finish after failing a post-race inspection due to the minimum thickness of the titanium skidblock or planks that run along the centre of the floor on the car.

And as a result, it saw Sergio Perez open up the gap in second place by a further 12 points.

However, Hamilton has four more races in this year’s campaign to turn it all around.
