Cops have not confirmed the reporters death but said they responded to an emergency call at 11:57pm on Sunday.
Local police added that a man was found with “obvious signs of trauma”, and later died in hospital.
Cops have called the incident a homicide but are yet to identity any suspects.
Jones confirmed White’s identity in a heartbreaking X post where the host said his reporter was “brutally murdered” and blamed local politicians for his death.
The InfoWars boss said: “We are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars Reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight Sunday night due, in part, to the policies of the Soros Austin, TX D.A. Jose Garza.”
Jones also vowed to seek “justice” for his colleagues death.
He added: “We pledge that Jamie’s tragic death will not be in vain, and those responsible for this senseless violence will be brought to justice.
“Jamie’s important work will be carried on through InfoWars, our, readers, and out cherished listeners.”
Jones continued his tribute to White with a fiery rant and bizarre claims about the local Democratic Party.
He said: “I lay all of this squarely at the feet of Soros and of the sort of crime syndicate of the Democratic Party.
“They are the ones that administratively cut the police, prosecuted the police, and even cases that are hundred percent clear to be lawful, legal activities.”
The disgraced InfoWars boss also praised White for his work at the controversial site.
Jones said: “There are a lot of really cool people that have worked at Infowars over the years, and one of the most amazing people was Jamie White. You know him as a great reporter and researcher.
“He was up here last night working late during the Sunday show and after it Jaime was murdered last night outside of his home just a few miles away from our studios.
“He’s always here early, loves to work, loves to fight tyranny, love, promote freedom.”
Jones claimed his team went to White’s apartment to check but said they were met with a horror scene.
“And when they got to the apartment complex, there was yellow tape everywhere and blood all over the parking lot. And we went and talked to the manager. They didn’t know anything.”
Alex Jones has previously been slammed for his radio show and conspiracy theories he has shared.
He made false remarks about the deadly 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting where 26 people, 20 of whom were children, were murdered.
Over the years, Jones has been known for falsely claiming the event was a “giant hoax” that was carried out by actors who oppose the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
He was sued by the families of the victims and a judge found Jones and the other defendants liable for defamation, in November 2021.
In 2019, according to a sworn deposition, Jones had acknowledged the events were real and claimed he suffered from “a form of psychosis” which made him question if they were.
