DAMON HETA has revealed his dream five-a-side team naming only his darts rivals.

The world No7 was on the way to Leicester for the fifth Players Championship event of the season when he hosted a Q&A session for fans.

Heta was asked several questions on Facebook and one supporter wanted to know the ultimate five-a-side darts line-up.

He replied with the names of Nathan Aspinall, Joe Cullen and Luke Humphries.

The Aussie fans’ favourite also included himself as the final outfield player.

And he made a smart choice between the sticks, opting for goalkeeper-turned darts ace Florian Hempel.

The German world No57 has twice reached the last-32 at the World Championships and has held a Tour Card every year since 2021.

But before turning to darts, Hempel was a handball player in his homeland.

He played in the second and third tier of German handball as a keeper for club Dessau-Roßlauer HV.

Hempel hung up his gloves in 2016 and then studied to be a fitness coach and nutritionist.

As for the other players on Heta’s dream team, world No1 Humphries is a huge supporter of Leeds United and paraded his World Championship trophy at Elland Road last year.

Cullen and Aspinall both support Manchester United – with The Asp once scouted by the Red Devils as a keeper.

He also received a contract offer from Rangers and had trials at Stockport as a kid before turning to darts.

Heta is a fan of Nottingham Forest and he was seen wearing a Tricky Trees shirt while throwing arrows in a local pub last summer.
