The cyclist is then seen turning around to give a middle finger to a motorist driving a red car.
But as he turns back after being distracted, he ends up crashing into a lampost.
The video ends with the cyclist getting up from the floor with his bike upended.
The clip was shared on X with the caption: “This smart ass cyclist cuts into traffic to pass another cyclist, takes his eyes off the road to give the finger to a honking car, and then crashes without being touched.
“If he only paid attention to his riding rather than flipping off the driver, he would have been fine.”
Though the person sharing the video doesn’t seem sympathetic towards the cyclist, other viewers have been left divided over who was in the wrong.
Some X users have said the cyclist should have given the correct signal with his hand, while others have expressed sympathy with him.
One user wrote: “Got his just deserves for being rude to the driver.”
Another wrote: “Instant karma”.
While a third said: “The cyclist did not ‘cut into traffic’. Cycles are allowed to pull out from a cycle lane to overtake.”
Other people were on the fence about the incident, saying: “Bike rage is read” and “so funny to watch”.
It is not clear where the video was taken but it appears to have taken place in the UK.
