In the lead-up to the weekend’s action in Las Vegas, Ripley took part in an autograph session with fans.

During the signing, one fan presented the Eradicator with an adoption certificate.

They said: “I’ve been waiting for this since last WrestleMania.

“It took me months to get this — can you sign this to be my new Mami?”

Ripley initially looked confused, before bursting out laughing.

She replied: “It’s a first – really? Okay!”

The overwhelmed fan then exclaimed: “Can I get a hug? Thank you, Mami!”

Finding the whole episode amusing, Ripley whipped her phone out to take a picture of the certificate.

Ripley is married to AEW star Buddy Matthews.

Seeing his wife’s “strange” interaction, Matthews posted: “He’s old enough that if he breaks the law it falls on him and not us! – now we have a son to look after us when we are old.”

Ripley is set to be in action on Sunday.

The affable Aussie will take part in a Triple Threat match for the Women’s World Championship.

The contest will see Ripley do battle with Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair.
