The Destroyer had battled through 12 brutal rounds to make the final bell.

But before the judges announced the decision of who had won the fight, Benn was seen briefly stepping outside of the ring to speak to someone ringside.

And when the camera panned to Benn to see who he was conversing with, people were stunned to learn it was celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

Before the fight, Ramsay, 58, had predicted the son of Nigel Benn to come away with the victory.

Picked up on cameras he could be heard saying, “well done” to Benn for his effort in the thrilling clash.

Reacting to his stunning appearance and their post-fight chat, one fan said: “Why’s he talking to Gordon Ramsay?”

A second said: “Gotta respect Benn, straight to Ramsay for the scrambled egg recipe as soon as the bell went.”

A third said: “Gordon Ramsay at the fight yano.”

Another said: “Omg Gordon Ramsay.”

A fifth added: “Still slightly confused that the person Benn greeted last night after the fight was Gordon Ramsay.”

Another fan claimed he had heard Benn saying he watches Ramsay’s programme all the time, though it is not exactly clear how the two became friends.

However, Benn and Ramsay were left disappointed as the results were announced.

All three judges scored 116-112 in favour of Eubank Jr over Benn.

Benn said he was gutted to have lost but was determined to get “revenge” in a rematch.

And a rematch between them has already been earmarked for later this year by Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh.

Alalshikh said: “If they’re not injured and ready, we want the rematch in late September at Tottenham.

“The British fans were amazing, and I thank them.”

Ramsay is a regular sight at sporting events, grabbing seats at his fair share of blockbuster boxing matches, football games and Formula One races.

Other celebs in attendance included footballers Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice, as well as actor Idris Elba and TV star Maya Jama.
